Spring: the fairest of the seasons
Henry (Justin Phillip) is a wannabe cowboy, but the changing country pulls him away from his ranching aspirations and into WWII, the burgeoning oil industry, and the strange world of ventriloquist dummy peddling. He has to balance his myriad of career paths with his troubled family life and diminishing expectations over the course of five or six, or maybe even seven or eight decades. Spring: The Fairest of the Seasons won a Best Short Form Achievement in Filmmaking award at the Covellite International Film Festival, best Narrative Short at the Los Angeles Film and Script Festival and Best Achievement in Short Form Directing at the Cinematic Arts Film Festival.
The land of cain
Premiered at the ZERO FILM FESTIVAL. Shot over a weekend in Los Angeles with a crew of four, this could very well be the last film ever shot using the tragically discontinued Kodak Ektachrome stock, but don’t quote me on that.
Shot in one night on a Bolex with a two man crew using props and sets I constructed myself. Also, not to brag or anything, but I did all the music for this short as well.
